I had some issues with my computer, I took it to a repair place in St. Albert, they quoted me an outrageous price to “fix” it. When I brought it to Colin at Fatal Exceptions for a 2nd opinion, it turned out there was only a minor problem (which the competition didn’t even find!) he had me up in running in less than a day, and at a very reasonable rate! E-mailed Colin about possibly doing some upgrading to my Desktop as I was having trouble running some games. He replied promptly, and set-up a time for me to drop my computer off for evaluation. Within four hours of me dropping my PC off, he called back with a solution and price. Not only that, but I was able to pick my PC back up just a short while later, THE SAME DAY. What great service!! Colin was extremely knowledgeable, polite, and responsive. After a different computer repair company tried and failed to fix our computer issue (making things worse!), we called Colin and he was very quick to help. We left our computer with him for a free quote on a Friday afternoon and we had our computer back and totally fixed by Saturday morning…for a much lower price than other computer repair places were quoting too. We will trust Colin with any computer issues going forward and we will not hesitate to refer our friends and family to him as well.

Colin is personable, professional and ethical – I would absolutely recommend him for computer repairs in St. Albert and surrounding areas. I was concerned about a virus on my Macbook Pro. When I called, he answered my call promptly, accommodated a same day drop off, and kept me apprised of the diagnostics throughout the day. Unfortunately, the results of the diagnostics were not promising. As such, he did not want me to spend money with him, unless he was 100% positive his approach could permanently repair the problem. Instead he referred me to Apple and did not charge me for his diagnostics. I am saddened that I couldn’t give him my business with this problem, but absolutely appreciate his honesty and integrity. I was having problems with an older computer freezing randomly. I ended up replacing many components (RAM, power supply, hard drives, RAID controller, motherboard and CPU). Replacing these parts solved the freezing issue however, I started experiencing what I thought were booting issues. The computer would only boot properly after many power cycles. After spending numerous hours and still not having success rebooting the computer, I brought the computer to Colin at Fatal Exceptions. Colin figured out the issue in a timely manner. The computer now works and boots well.
