I was having problems with an older computer freezing randomly. I ended up replacing many components (RAM, power supply, hard drives, RAID controller, motherboard and CPU). Replacing these parts solved the freezing issue however, I started experiencing what I thought were booting issues. The computer would only boot properly after many power cycles. After spending numerous hours and still not having success rebooting the computer, I brought the computer to Colin at Fatal Exceptions. Colin figured out the issue in a timely manner. The computer now works and boots well.

E-mailed Colin about possibly doing some upgrading to my Desktop as I was having trouble running some games. He replied promptly, and set-up a time for me to drop my computer off for evaluation. Within four hours of me dropping my PC off, he called back with a solution and price. Not only that, but I was able to pick my PC back up just a short while later, THE SAME DAY. Fantastic services, pricing was great, and I will definitely be going back to Fatal Exceptions for any future computer needs I require. 10/10 on all fronts!!

Colin is personable, professional and ethical – I would absolutely recommend him for computer repairs in St. Albert and surrounding areas. I was concerned about a virus on my Macbook Pro. When I called, he answered my call promptly, accommodated a same day drop off, and kept me apprised of the diagnostics throughout the day. Unfortunately, the results of the diagnostics were not promising. As such, he did not want me to spend money with him, unless he was 100% positive his approach could permanently repair the problem. Instead he referred me to Apple and did not charge me for his diagnostics. I am saddened that I couldn’t give him my business with this problem, but absolutely appreciate his honesty and integrity. My computer caught a very bad virus and crashed to the point that I could not even turn it on. Called numerous computer service technicians but the labour charges and data back up fee were very high. However, Colin fixed my computer and it’s working like new again (plus he was able to save all my files, pictures, music, etc), and is considerably cheaper than any other place I called.
